Are You Being Flexible Enough?

I'm referring to the date, time, and location of your travel plans. If you are flexible enough to fly on the same date but at a slightly different time, you probably will be able to purchase a much less expensive seat on a plane that is only partially filled. The same can be said for flying on a different day that is not as busy as other days.

Also, flexibility of location is key. If you are traveling to a major city and there are a number of airports nearby, you should check the airfare prices for the other airports. You will, of course need to factor in the cost of your taxi or rental car from that location to see if it makes sense.
